it skipped me, the mutation that gives one the talent to be an amazing host for an event attended by more than a few people. the only thing i learned to do was to overstress myself about the little things that will be forgotten by the next days' end. not to mention there's so many coming, and from so many different facets of my life, that i most likely won't be able to spend an awful lot of time with any one group til it dies down... provided that people show up in the first place! but it's all worth it, right?

Not-so big plans coming up

So this Tuesday marks my quarter century on this planet. wee-haw. I've never been a big birthday celebration type guy, but everyone seems to be wanting to do crap with/for me, so I'll bite.

-Going out with coworkers for a goodbye dinner/birthday celebration on Monday.
-Going out for drinks on next Friday with the ladies.
-Bro taking me out to a dinner and a show in Chicago Saturday (from what I gather).

Still haven't heard from the rest of the family. Mom wanted to do something but hasn't gotten on the horn so I'm not actively going to seek going out to random restaurant, sit awkwardly for an hour or so until a surprise birthday cake appears and my mother, while on key, sings close but incorrect lyrics to "Happy Birthday to You".

For the past two years I've done what I wanted to do on my birthday- hung out with some friends, cracked open a case, sat around and chilled, but now most of my friends live over 50 miles away, so that gets kind of difficult.

7th of january, 64 degrees [possibly higher] for a high outside this afternoon... and now, a tornado watch to boot. wind is so strong the grill blew a couple feet towards the stairs even though all 4 brakes were on...
